Can you even believe that summer is just around the corner?! Summer time can be so packed with fun activities, but also give a lot of “down time” for kiddos and families.

So, to help keep your kids learning and exploring their world this summer, I’ve pulled together 21 stellar summer-themed freebies from other teachers that will totally keep your kindergarten, first, and second grade kids learning all summer long! 1. Summer Letter Matching Sensory Bin

Practicing letters with your little ones this summer? This colorful, FREE sensory bin is perfect for you! These activities provide a hands-on way for your toddler, preschooler, or kindergartener to practice recognizing upper and lowercase letters this summer. There are 12 cards included in this free resource (1 instruction card, 10 cards to practice counting, and 1 extension activities card). Students will count the seashells in the sand and tap the beachball with the correct number on it. They can work on these on a computer or tablet.

7. Summer Consonant Blend Matching Game

If you’re practicing reading words with consonant blends in a CCVC pattern, this summer-themed matching game is a perfect activity for kindergarten or first grade learners. Students will find a match and then write the word next to the picture on the recording sheet. Easy peasy and so fun!

8. Flip Flop Addition Facts Sensory Bin
