If you're looking for a hands-on way for your toddlers and preschoolers to practice sorting and matching pictures this summer, this sensory bin is perfect for you! Your little toddlers, preschoolers, and other young learners will practice identifying, sorting, and matching small pictures to larger pictures.

There are 4 summer sorting activities that can be used as sensory bins included in this bundle. Three of these activities require learners to sort only 2 kinds of pictures (like popsicles and ice cream, boys and girls, etc.). One of these activities require learners to sort 3 kinds of pictures, but also includes a version where they can sort only 2 kinds of pictures as well.

To use these sensory bins, kids will choose a card from the sensory bin you set up. They will match the small summer picture card to the larger summer picture mat that shows the matching picture. Learners only have to sort 2 kinds of pictures (and with one activity, an optional 3 pictures) to keep the activity simple and easy for toddlers and preschoolers to focus on sorting just two things at a time.

The mats can be hung up around the room or placed on a table and you can incorporate gross motor skills and movement to get those wiggles out by having little ones grab a card from one spot (a table or rug) and run, hop, crawl, or skip it over to the new spot where the mat is. :) It's a perfect way to get your little one moving and learning at the same time!

For each sensory bin, there are 3 play dough mats that relate to the pictures in the sensory bin and 2 levels of recording sheets for kids to color included.
